Venezuela celebrates independence from India and strengthens cooperation

Venezuela and the Republic of India strengthened their bilateral relations this Thursday during the 74th celebration of that country’s independence, reported Venezuelan Foreign Minister Yván Gil.

Through his account on the social network Twitter, Gil explained that he accompanied His Excellency Ambassador Abhishek Singh, accredited in the country, during the celebration of the 74th anniversary of the Republic of India, an occasion that served to strengthen cooperation ties ” for the future.”

“We accompany His Excellency Ambassador Abhishek Singh in the celebration of the 74th anniversary of the Republic of India, together with Venezuela, strengthening the relationship for the future. We convey a message of love and friendship from the President @NicolasMaduro. Congratulations!” said the Foreign Minister.

When congratulating the country on its anniversary, Foreign Minister Yván Gil conveyed to Ambassador Abhishek Singh a message of friendship and love sent by the national President, Nicolás Maduro.

Honors to the Liberator

On the occasion of celebrating the 74th anniversary of the independence of India, Ambassador Abhishek Singh honored the Liberator Simón Bolívar this Thursday, with a wreath before the sarcophagus that keeps his mortal remains in the National Pantheon, in Caracas.

according to a note of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ceremony was held on the occasion of the Day of the Republic from India.

During the ceremony, the Ambassador of India was accompanied by the Vice Minister for Asia, the Middle East and Oceania of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Capaya Rodríguez, and the diplomatic corps accredited in the country.

Venezuela–India relations

Venezuela and India have maintained diplomatic relations for more than six decades, reaching a new level of rapprochement during the government of President Hugo Chávez, who signed six cooperation agreements with that country in March 2005.

Currently, under the mandate of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, relations between the two countries are being consolidated, said the note.
