President Luis Abinader will headline this Thursday in San Francisco de MacorisDuarte province, the commemorative acts to the 210th anniversary of the birth of the patrician Juan Pablo Duarte who organizes the Permanent Commission of National Ephemeris.

The act begins the Month of the homeland which will last until March 9 with various activities in various parts of the country. Juan Pablo Uribe, president of the Permanent Commission of National Ephemerisinformed that at 8:00 in the morning the acts begin.

There will be a civic-military ceremony in the Duarte park of the province of the same name at 8:00 in the morning, with the interpretation of the National Anthem and the raising of the National Flag and the Mayor’s Office of San Francisco de Macoris.

The Army Music Band will be in charge of the interpretation of the Anthem and immediately afterwards the corresponding honors will be rendered.

At 10:00 a.m. will be held a Tedeum in the Cathedral Santa Ana which will be attended by the president and provincial and national officials, as well as other authorities and, from that time on, the president will participate in the opening of the Month of the Homeland, which includes a patriotic, student and military parade.

The acts also include the iconographic and educational exhibition “Ethical Leadership of Duarte”as well as other activities. “The Month of the Homeland runs until March 9, the birth of the patrician Francisco del Rosario Sánchez, who together with Ramón Matías Mella make up the nationality trilogy,” said Uribe.

The president of National Ephemeris He called on citizens to organize, celebrate and participate in the civic spirit of the Month of the Homeland, without partisan, religious or ideological distinctions, “at a complex moment for national sovereignty, territorial integrity and Dominican identity.”

Duartian Institute

The president of the Duartian Institute, Wilson Gómez Ramírez, informed that this entity does not defer the celebration of Duarte’s day and carries out its activities as usual. At 8:30 there will be a floral offering in Parque Duarte next to the Ministry of Defense and at 9:00 the traditional mass in the cathedral. Gómez Ramírez said that the 210th anniversary of Duarte’s birth finds the country enjoying freedom, independence and sovereignty, thanks to the work of the patricians and the other men and women who fought for freedom.

He said that the patrician wanted, in addition, a happy country in which the laws were complied with because in article 1 of his fundamental bill he commands and ensures that everyone complies with the law, rulers and governed.
