Beyond the differences of recent weeks, the Morena parliamentary group made a commitment to promote the three constitutional reforms proposed by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
The coordinator Ricardo Monreal even maintained that there there is unity and identification of purposes
and they are ready to face the challenges and legislative challenges
that the priority projects of the federal Executive entail, among them the electrical reform, which they discussed yesterday with the Secretary of Energy, Rocío Nahle.
At the closing of the Morena plenary session, Monreal stressed that they are reaching the legislative period that begins tomorrow with clear objectives and support for public policies
that the President has designed and to which we have given legislative life

Meanwhile, the president of the Senate, Olga Sánchez Cordero, exposed through a recorded video: We are going with everything for the legislative agenda promoted by the President. Let’s go with the electrical reform, the National Guard and the electoral reform
, in addition to other themes of Morena.
On the second and last day of the meeting, the atmosphere remained tense, after the wake-up call made a day earlier by the Secretary of the Interior, Adán Augusto López Hernández, to leave the division behind. Once again there were serious faces and the unusual stern gesture of Monreal as he led the work of the plenary that concluded around 3 in the afternoon.
The coordinator Monreal specified at the end that the three reforms of the federal Executive were the reason for discussion during the plenary. There was a frank dialogue between the Executive and Legislative Powers
, he said in reference to the meetings with the Secretaries of the Interior, Foreign Affairs, Welfare, Education, Citizen Security and Protection, and Energy, who, he said, they provided us with information to reinforce our ideas and objectives in the process of transformation and regime change that we proposed for decades

But also, he stressed, they listened to our approaches and concerns, which arise from a healthy plurality within the group, with concerns, even with divergences and conflicting positions

In addition to the presidential agenda, Morena’s priority will be to guarantee public security and restore peace, address the human and economic impacts caused by the pandemic and the inflation that affects the world.
