On the afternoon of this Wednesday, January 25, the man who was allegedly involved in the brutal murder of an elderly couple, registered last Monday in the Chanis sector, was brought before a guarantee judge.
According to the Homicide and Femicide Prosecutor, Yuriel Medina, the subject was ordered preventive detention and charged with the crimes of aggravated intentional homicide, robbery and deprivation of liberty.
He stressed that the guarantee judge considered the evidence and determined that there were procedural risks, which is why he ordered provisional detention, and also pointed out that the defendant could be facing a sentence of up to 40 years in prison for the crimes against him.
Let us remember that the two older adults were found gagged and without vital signs inside their residence in the Chanis urbanization, Parque Lefevre, and that the accused was arrested at the scene. The police indicated that they are still on the trail of others involved.
