Public consultation agenda begins to debate NGO regularization law

The deputies of the Permanent Commission of Internal Policy of the National Assembly (AN), held a meeting to define a deployment agenda to carry out the public consultation in the national territory, on the Law of Inspection, Update and Financing of Non-profit Organizations Government (NGO).

This was reported by the vice president of this parliamentary body, deputy Julio Garcia Zerpawho also stated that they seek to create a legal framework that allows for the registration of each of the NGOs in the country.

He asserted that the objective is to visualize, “who are the NGOs, what do they do, what are their purposes, bodies and sources of financing, as well as where they come from and accountability for how these resources are executed.”

Likewise, he emphasized the participation of the parliamentarians of the Bloque de la Patria, as well as the addition of the deputies of the Venezuelan opposition bench, in the debate that will take place in coordination with the Legislative Councils and Municipal Councils of the states .

“Then will come a process of review and specialized sectoral consultation, as well as the invitation to NGOs, civil associations and foundations, to a space for debate and collective construction,” explained Julio García Zerpa.
