Left-wing congressmen present motion for vacancy against Dina Boluarte

The leftist congressmen presented today a motion to debate the vacancy of the president whom they accuse of permanent moral incapacity for the deaths registered in the protests that began after the coup d’état perpetrated by Pedro Castillo, on December 7, 2022.

Among the signatories are former Castillista ministers Betssy Chávez and Roberto Sánchez, who are being investigated by the Prosecutor’s Office for having been behind the attempted closure of Congress and the reorganization of the justice system that Castillo announced.

“Incapacity in a general sense, more than a technical or legal decision, is a political decision that must be taken from the reality that exists, the death of 44 citizens during the Dina Boluarte Zegarra government, constitutes serious moral incapacity based on the fact that morality is considered as foundations the norms, principles and values established within a society”, reads the 54-page document.
