The alleged incompatibility of the deputy Manuel Monsalve (PS) with the position of Undersecretary of the Interior has generated reactions from the future opposition as well as from the incoming government.
The future government spokeswoman, Camila Vallejo (PC), referred to this issue after last Sunday deputies from the UDI bench indicated that they sent a letter to the Comptroller of the Republic to review this case.
“We had foreseen this situation, we are missing the Comptroller’s statement before a trade that has not yet arrived. Faced with this situation, depending on his pronouncement, we have another alternative solution, ”said the still deputy.
Although he did not want to advance possible replacements for said position in case of a negative response from the comptroller.
It should be noted that the position of Undersecretary of the Interior must assume days before the inauguration of the new government -March 11-, for which the parliamentarian Monsalve brings him problems, since he will still be in Congress exercising his popularly elected position.

The head of the institution in charge of supervising public bodies, Jorge Bermudez, maintained that “I cannot say if it is correct or not if I have not studied it. I have to study it and discuss it with the legal team.”
Regarding the document sent by the future opposition party, he indicated that “we have not seen the official letter, but obviously, when it arrives, we will review it.”
