This was reported by the head of the FANB Strategic Operational Command (Ceofanb), Domingo Hernández Lárez.
Through his account on the social network Twitter, Hernández Lárez detailed the material disabled by the FANB during the operation.
“In compliance with environmental protection plans and security and defense plans, #FANB is deployed in the Caño Grande sector in Yapacana-Amazonas, disabling: 1 motor, 6 motorized pumps, 1 raft, 200 meters of pipe, 500 meters of high-pressure hose and 600 liters of gasoline,” he posted on Twitter.
“#FANB deployed in the National Parks, Forests and Forest Reserves of the Guiana territory, dismantling illegal mining structures installed arbitrarily in security zones protected by the State,” added the Chief of Ceofanb.

Likewise, Hernández Lárez confirmed that the FANB is alert and prepared for these situations that arise in strategic entities of the country.

More than 10,000 meters of hoses seized
This Sunday, the Chief of Ceofanb reported that members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) have seized and destroyed more than 10,000 meters of high-pressure hoses, which were used for illegal mining in the states of Amazonas and Bolívar.
“More than 10 thousand meters of high pressure hoses have been seized and destroyed by the #FANB during security, defense and environmental protection patrols in the Autana and Roraima operations in the Amazonas and Bolívar states, respectively, used for illegal mining” reported Domingo Hernández Lárez on Twitter.
Operation Autana 2023
The Chief of Ceofanb ratified the deployment of Operation Autana 2023, “in defense of our Natural Parks, Forests and Forest Reserves, against illegal mining. All illegal structures installed in the Security Zones protected by the State will be destroyed.
In this sense, he ratified that the FANB will continue working to eliminate irregular groups that intend to attack the ecosystem.
