This Saturday the 256th Brigade of the National Assembly (AN) was deployed in the states: Apure, Aragua, Cojedes, Delta Amacuro, Lara, La Guairá, Guárico, Miranda, Mérida, Monagas, Nueva Esparta, Portuguesa, Sucre, Yaracuy and Zulia.
The work of street parliamentarianism was requested by President Nicolás Maduro and is scheduled so that all this year the AN discloses and explains the laws sanctioned in 2021 and 2022, and collects the concerns and proposals for the formation of the new regulations and the transformation others so that they really respond to the needs of the people, refers press release from the Venezuelan parliament.
Five blocks of the legislative agenda
The legislative agenda approved in the National Parliament for the period 2023 contains 28 bills, which seek to restore the welfare state of the Venezuelan population.
The Legislative Branch agreed to work on the legal instruments in five blocks.
First: is linked to the economic sector, which includes the Public Procurement Law, Digital Commerce Law, Tax Coordination and Harmonization Organic Law, the reform of the Organic Law of the Communal Economic System and the Law for the Protection and Production of the Cucui-Cocuy Agave .
Second: there are those related to public services and the right to the city. This block includes the Comprehensive Waste Management Law, the Organic Water Law and the Coexistence and Peace Law proposal, received by the People’s Power Minister for the Interior, Justice and Peace, Remigio Ceballos.
Third: the strengthening of the organized people is sought, whose norms include the reform of the laws of Popular Power, such as the Law of Communes, Law of Popular Power, Law of Communal Councils and the Law of Social Comptrollership.
Bedroom: The block refers to laws that promote human, social and environmental development, and its purpose is to promote special laws to serve the sector of people with disabilities, agricultural workers and citizens with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and will be included in this unit the Women’s Equality Law and the Student Participation Law.
Fifth: related to the laws concerning the Judicial Revolution, such as the Organic Law of the Justice System, the Court Inspectorate Law, the National Magistracy School Law, the Judicial Career Law, and the Law on Truth and the Historical Memory of Human Rights in Venezuela.
