Likewise, the Institution expressed its solidarity towards the collaborators and clients of the Caja Tacna, Caja Cusco and Caja Arequipa agencies of the district of Ilave, province of El Collao in the Puno region.

“We call for calm from the protesters, since the Municipal Funds are the financial arm of micro and small businessmen, and the bank of the people of the most disadvantaged citizens and of the entire entrepreneurial class of the country,” it reads.

“We firmly believe in the democratic right to protest, provided that the right of all people is respected and that the acts do not become a danger to society. Likewise, we consider that the diverse claims of the citizenry must be channeled through the mechanisms of concertation and dialogue contemplated in a rule of law. Acts of vandalism only generate the majority rejection of the citizenry, for which we call for tranquility and peaceful demonstrations”, concludes the statement issued by FEPCMAC.
