CDMX, Mexico.-The first hotel facility properly “pet friendly” in Cuba will open at the Villa Tortuga hotel, in Varadero. The information was confirmed to Travel Trade Caribbean by Diana Beatriz Olivera Rodríguez, Commercial Vice President of the Gran Caribe Hotel Group.
The news was announced during the 43rd edition of the International Tourism Fair, FITUR 2023, in Madrid. Cuban spokesmen presented it as an ideal destination for those travelers who wish to bring their pets.
As its name indicates, “pet friendly” refers to being kind to pets. When a facility is presented in such a category, this not only means that it accepts animals, but also offers certain benefits for them. For example, it is common for the hotel to invest in materials and utensils to deposit your pet’s waste; as well as bowls of water and food. Give them leashes and toys, as well as include beds for them in the rooms.
