More than 600 campuses receive maintenance through Con Escuela

Some 300 students from the Police Academy (Acapol) began cleaning work this Saturday at the Richard Newmann, Professional Isabel Herrera Obaldia and José Antonio Remon Cantera schools, in partnership with the Ministry of Education, the Fire Department, the Cleaning Authority and the Government of Panama among other authorities.

Using brooms, grass cutters, rakes, brushes, spatulas, water pressure and other tools, the ACAPOL cadets developed cleaning in green areas, gymnasium, corridors as well as walls and floors.

“In a team with the National Police and other institutions, we work to have the schools ready on the first day of school through the structure of the National Operations Center with Schools 2023, with an inter-institutional articulation and local authority,” said Minister Maruja Gorday de Villalobos, during his participation in the cleanup operation.

For his part, the commissioner said that “the security institution meets the objective of social work, developed in a service and support to the Ministry of Education in the care of schools with electricity, plumbing, painting and masonry work among other tasks” .

Finally, he indicated that this Sunday, the cleaning days will continue in an action that reinforces the initiative of Con Escuela to keep schools in optimal conditions for the start of the school year.
