La Paz (EFE).- The Bolivian Prosecutor’s Office issued an arrest warrant this Saturday against the Puerto Rican singer Don Omar who is accused of scam aggravated by the postponement of two concerts in the country, one of them held the day before, and which, according to their representatives, was due to a problem with the flight that was supposed to transfer it.
The prosecutor’s order was issued against William Omar Landron Ribera (Don Omar) in the jurisdiction of Santa Cruz, a region in the east of the country in which tonight the artist must offer a concert that was rescheduled, and which establishes an accusation for “aggravated fraud ».
The Vice Ministry of Defense of the User and Consumer filed the complaint against the reggaeton player, which also includes five other people who are part of his production and representation team, such as manager Lennox Gabriel Pizarro and the brother of singer Héctor Landron Ribera.
The concerts of Don Omar in Bolivia were to take place last Thursday in La Paz and then on Friday in Santa Cruz, but they were postponed one day due to a mishap on the flight that was supposed to take him from the United States to Bolivia.
In a press conference before the presentation that was canceled in La Paz, the artist’s brother provided explanations and promised the artist’s arrival, in addition, he said that if necessary he himself would stay as a “guarantee” that the concert would take place. .
However, shortly after the statement to the media, the Police arrested Héctor Landron and two other people related to the organization of the event, although a few hours later they were released.
Don Omar announced his arrival in La Paz on his social networks and finally appeared in that city on Friday night.
Local media report that Don Omar has already given his statement to the authorities of the Special Force to Fight Crime (Felcc) and the performance of tonight’s concert in the city of Santa Cruz was guaranteed.
The arrival of the Puerto Rican artist was supposed to take place at the beginning of December, but it was suspended due to the conflicts and the indefinite strike in the department of Santa Cruz, so it was scheduled for this week. EFE
