The Ministry of Housing and Buildings, MIVED responded to the call for help to rebuild the burned home of Ysabel de los Santos, a 44-year-old nurse who lives in the La Explanada sector of the San Luis municipality in North Santo Domingo.
Mrs. Ysabel is a humble worker, a single mother of two children aged 4 and 6, and she lived with her nephew, who lost all their belongings, including their children’s school supplies, leaving only what they had with them.
“This is the biggest thing for me, we have lost everything, my children’s books, their clothes, the laptop that the school gave him, my nephew lost even the money he had earned this month, my God, all our things, I only stayed with what I had on top, I don’t know what I’m going to do, “said De los Santos.
The call for help was made known thanks to the journalist José Antonio Aybar, editor of the newspaper El Nacional, who through his Instagram account @testigouno published the conditions in which the house was left.
The MIVED rapid action brigade carried out a survey of the area, to start working immediately accompanied by the ney garcia, deputy minister of the institution,
