meat and sweat

The title is not about a combination to eat, but what has been discovered about what consuming a lot of meat does, when doing this in countries like ours where a large part of the gastronomic menu is based on beef, which is as common as the summer heat. that we suffer

It has its positive side like that it is a source of vitamin B12; This vitamin helps us metabolize proteins, form red blood cells and maintain the central nervous system. Beef in a country with more than 14 million cows is rich in zinc which helps protect against oxidative damage, skin healing and to create hemoglobin.

Sweating is an essential function that helps the body stay cool, it does not mean that we lose kilograms, become slimmer or reduce the volume of body fat, in reality it all depends on what and how much we decide to eat.

Research suggests that the consumption of protein increases body temperature more than the consumption of carbohydrates or fats, which produces a high probability of sweating during the eating of cuts of meat.

scientific findings

What is known is that protein increases body temperature. Arizona State University asked 10 young women to eat high-protein or high-carbohydrate foods for a day and took various measurements including body temperature. Then, four to eight weeks later, the women returned to the lab and ate something else. The women’s body temperatures were higher after eating a more protein-rich dinner than after a carbohydrate-rich meal. Other limited studies suggest the same is true for men.

There is no gender difference. Men or women rise in temperature by eating roasts or other cuts or whatever has protein as part of its cooking. Other studies conclude that protein increases body temperature because the body must work more, that is, spend more energy to digest it, and this work also releases heat.

Digesting protein “expends a lot of energy,” said Stuart Phillips, a kinesiologist and director of the McMaster Center for Nutrition, Exercise and Health Research at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario.

The dangers of eating meat

On the other hand, it is also known that the intake of large amounts of red meat and processed meat was associated with an increased risk of contracting bowel cancer, the risk being even higher related to processed meat, like all processed food.

Our bodies use the proteins we eat to make new proteins, and this process also produces heat, a researcher explained. For this reason, we should not worry if we see a fellow diner sweating while consuming his cut of ribs, rump tapas or vacuum, but only warn him of the sweat that runs down his forehead and ask him to wash up or extend him a cool drink so that his nervous system can act. in favor of his image at the table, a place where we don’t lift weights, run, jump, or do anything that makes us sweat.

We are eating and it must be a sacred, private moment, without tension, nerves or whatever does not help digestion, the day in its 24 hours must be well divided into activities that make us feel satisfied in the stomach, mind and the body. What it means to distribute well hours of rest, food, physical, work and academic activities, all of which are part of sweating in the extensive Paraguayan summer.

There are options to cope but it is important to know the impact and the relationship that exists between eating meat, sweating and suffering from certain diseases.
