The Panamanian singer-songwriter Boza shares with the public the five best moments that marked the filming in the Dominican Republic of the music video “Booty Puty”, a creation to exalt women in all their dimensions.
“Booty Puty” is a song that emerged organically while waiting for a flight, taking inspiration from female beauty to achieve the vibe and concept he was looking for.
Throughout the song, Boza refers to important figures in Latin music such as Natti Natasha and Camilo; In the same way, for the chorus she uses part of the iconic 2002 song “Asereje” as inspiration.
After having the song ready, he prepared the filming of the music video under the direction of Rodrigo Films.
A first moment was the unexpected trip: The video was recorded in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. It was a trip without much planning and it was adjusted with the promotional tour that Boza had so that he would be on time. The team spent three days in the Caribbean country.
Then Boza and his team selected each of the Dominican models and during filming all the food was “typical food” from the island.
During the filming, Boza took advantage of the opportunity to be in the Dominican Republic and ordered a typical dish from the country for dinner: they brought him a dish that bears the name ‘Los Tres Golpes’. (Mangú served with fried cheese and fried Dominican salami).
The entire video was recorded in the same place: a spacious hangar/shed, where the four sets were set up. For one of the scenes they used fire and, according to the team, Boza sweated like never before.
The filming was delayed since they had to constantly wet the floor so that it would not lose the mirror effect. The Boza team arrived at noon and finished at two in the morning the next day.
“Booty Puty”, released under the Sony Music Latin label, is part of a bundle (compilation) of three songs that also includes the songs “Malévola” and “Strawberry Banana”.
Boza reached the #4 position on America’s #1 Music Charts, presented by the prestigious publication Pollstar, with his single ¿Qué quieres quieres? together with the Colombian artist Beéle. In addition, the song is at #4 on the urban chart and #13 on the tropical chart in the US.
