Boston agrees with Adam Duvall for one campaign

The Red Sox agreed to a one-year, $7 million deal with outfielder Adam Duvall yesterday, a source told MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand.

The veteran could earn up to an additional $3 million in performance incentives. The agreement is awaiting a physical examination to be made official. The club has not confirmed.

Duvall, 34, was limited to just 86 games with Atlanta last year, posting a .677 OPS, hitting 12 home runs and driving in 36 runs.

The slugger was one of the key pieces of the 2021 Braves champion team after being acquired at that year’s trade deadline from the Marlins.

Duvall saw action at all three outfield positions last year with the Braves, a season after winning the Gold Glove in right field.
