A video went viral in which a councilor and representative of taxi drivers in Manizales made immobilize a private vehicle that was providing the transport service illegally.
In the film record, the driver of the private vehicle can be seen Carlos Jaime Gutierrez providing a transport service to an alleged user.
The user is the councilor of Manizales and representative of the taxi drivers in this capital, Julian Osorio, who did it on purpose, considering that that is an illegal transport and consequently, he asked the authorities to immobilize it to which the driver, without knowing that it was the user himself who kicked him out by the Police, asks him if he can help him so that they do not take his car.

“Can you help me there? the driver asks the councilman, to which the representative of the taxi drivers replies: “yes, of course, I collaborate with you by telling you that you are providing an illegal service. That is not allowed in Colombia and less so in Manizales; here this city is respected, my friend”, indicated.
That event happened in the past. Wednesday January 26However, it was only known on Saturday when the driver returned to his city Bogotá after having provided another service to Manizales through the In driver platform.
Later, while in Bogotá, Don Carlos recorded a video at the insinuation of some friends, recounting his case and asking for a collaboration to pay the fine of 800 thousand pesos and to be able to withdraw his car, which generated the solidarity of the Colombians and the criticism of the councilor for having made him immobilize the vehicle.

The politician and representative of the taxi drivers, Julián Osorio, apologized to don Carlos, clarifying that although it is an illegal service, it should not have been subjected to public ridicule with the video.
“It cannot be that today we are living this world upside down, because Don Carlos to whom I ask public excuses because perhaps it was not the way to subject him to public ridicule; however, he was committing an act that is not allowed in our country and If it is not allowed, then the law prohibits it. and what we were doing was denouncing as the regulations say, ”explained the lobbyist.
He added that “It cannot be that in a country where they say that all politicians are corrupt and that they must ensure legality, when we do it, both I and my family are being demonized and even receiving threats… We cannot allow this,” said the councilman.

For his part, Don Carlos Gutiérrez admitted that was providing an illegal service and that he will not do it again by indicating that he has already been offered a job to drive a turbo in Bogotá:
“We all know that it is a service that is not formalized to work and the people who take it do so because, without wanting to criticize the taxi drivers’ union, that service is not good. When you take a taxi, the first thing they ask you is: Where are you going? That is, the service is not the same as that of an illegal, nor are the rates.
Don Carlos Jaime Gutierrez, 60 years old, is very grateful to the people who have helped him and who, according to his accounts, already has raised a little more than 25 million pesos, although the fine for the infraction is only 800 thousand pesos.
He also said that several companies in Bogotá have called him to offer him a job driving, for example, a turbo, employment that will take advantage of and that will stop providing the passenger transport service illegally.
