COVID in Mexico: 13,926 infections and 131 deaths are recorded in 24 hours

The incidence rate of accumulated cases is 193.9 per 100,000 inhabitants, while the distribution by sex, in confirmed deaths, shows a male predominance of 62%. The median age is 64 years.

The entities with the most infections are Mexico City, the State of Mexico, Nuevo León, Guanajuato, Jalisco, Tabasco, San Luis Potosí, Puebla, Sonora and Veracruz. Together they make up 64% of all accumulated cases in the country.

In addition, there are 635,929 suspected cases of COVID in the country; 8 million 503,478 tested negative and there are an estimated 305,893 active cases.

Until January 28, 2022, 364 million 191,494 infections (3 million 321,782 new cases) and 5 million 631,457 deaths (10,314 new deaths) are reported worldwide. The global lethality is 1.5%.

This Sunday, the fifth of January 2022, showed a reduction in the number of infections in relation to other previous weeks.
