The Ministry of Labor reported that this Wednesday the subcommittee defined for the construction of the labor reform met, which will be presented to the Congress of the Republic on March 16.

According to the tripartite table, made up of the Government, the workers’ unions and the unions, the text will be worked on around 18 discussion topics.
The Minister of Labor, Gloria Inés Ramírez, indicated that among these are “Labor and constitutional principles, job stability and contract modalities, outsourcing, subcontracting and business unit, control of use of contract for the provision of services, apprenticeship contract, Sunday and holidays, night shift, automation, decarbonization, brought on platforms digital, rural, informal, sexual and migrant work, equity and gap reduction, trade union association, collective bargaining and strike”.
The meeting was chaired by the Vice Minister of Labor Relations and Inspection, Edwin Palma Egea, and the Director of Fundamental Rights and Technical Secretary of the Permanent Commission for the Agreement on Wage and Labor Policies, Nicolás Escandón.
