Recycling: schools are awarded with S/13,000

The ISM company awarded S/13,000 in prizes to schools in Lima, Callao and Huaura that participated and won the “” which took place between November and December 2022.

A total of 25,000 students from 30 public schools participated. In this contest, around 3,500 kilos of plastic bottles were collected.

In the province of Huaura, the first place was occupied by the Fray Melchor Aponte school, from the district of Végueta; while in the province of Callao, Las Casuarinas from the district of Ventanilla. Each institution received S/4,000.

The second places were in charge of Santa Rosa (Huacho district) and Santa María de Jesús (Comas district), which benefited with S/2,000 each. Third place went to Virgen del Carmen (Huaura district), who won S/1,000.

The company reported that they will continue with the project and called on more educational institutions to join this initiative that contributes to caring for the planet.

“The total number of containers collected during the Recycling Program have been sent to the Industrias San Miguel recycling plant to transform them into new beverage bottles, achieving the circularity of their materials,” the company indicated.
