Educating consists of develop the intellectual, moral and affective faculties of a person in accordance with the culture and norms of coexistence of the society to which they belong. Every student or person in charge of them expects to have knowledge that will serve the life of the apprentice and its environment well.

One that, given the high distraction conditions that occur in the classroom, is not completely sure of having quality in what a university graduate or training center offers related to courses that provide knowledge to be applied. Find solutions from problems with plumbing and electricity in the house to more complex issues that respond to demands from political parties, industries and even governments. All this is the result of education that is now in crisis.

From Spain there is a sincere testimony of an educator, a professor in Granada who says that he “dedicates himself more to deceiving, and not to teaching.” He affirms this because at the end of his classes he can identify more the brands of the devices used by his students who are distracted behind the phones, they really serve to be and / or make the user intelligent, at least that is what this Andalusian university teacher describes.

The overwhelming sincerity of Daniel Arias Aranda, professor in the Department of Business Organization at the University of Granada (UGR), has sparked a heated debate on social networks.

This experience of “educating” that the Spanish teacher has had brings me to Paraguay, which leads me to study and get as close as possible to the state in which our classrooms would be and the urgency that some teachers would have to have the attention of concentrated students more on their screens than in the lesson taught by the teacher. In some cases you can also get distracted by messages or calls that turn out to be more important than your classes.

The sentence of the professor from Granada that he is deceiving his students when he fails in his ability to educate is a pathetic example of a serious problem for which clear and forceful solutions do not seem to emerge. It’s a drama.
