On the other side of the coin, the National Association of Producers of Egg (Asohuevo)assured that within the period they have been exporting eggs to Haiti, although not with the same frequency and quantity as before the ban.

“Eggs have been sent to Haiti with special permits on the one hand, and today there was a normal market, that is, that this tends to normalize,” said Escaño.

The president of Asohuevos also maintained that the Government was wrong in ordering this measure.

“They took a measure and made a mistake, but as always you have to come out elegantly when such mistakes are made, since the officials never want to admit it, what they did was that they will lift the measure by Wednesday,” he added.
