Santo Domingo.- Temperatures will remain pleasant to cool for the next 48 hours due to an air mass associated with the first cold front to cross over the Dominican Republic, reported Monday the National Meteorological Office (Onamet).
He indicated that light and scattered rains may occur, as well as gusts of wind towards the north, northeast, southeast regions, the Central mountain range and the Cibao Valley during the course of today’s day and night.
“Values are forecast between 2 °C and 10 °C in mountainous areas such as: Constanza, Jarabacoa, Hondo Valle and Polo, among others, being able to be from -4 °C to 2 °C in higher altitude areas, such as Valle Nuevo and Pico Duarte”, says Onamet in his forecast.
Onamet recommended the operators of the fragile and small vessels to remain in port in a sector of the coastal perimeter, while in other areas they navigate close to the coastal perimeter.
He predicted that the same weather conditions will continue tomorrow, Tuesday, where the air mass will remain in the high-pressure system with pleasant temperatures while limiting the moisture content.

“Isolated gusts of wind will be observed and the precipitations that occur will be caused by the cloudiness that the northeast wind can carry towards our territory, expecting weak and scattered rains,” he added.
