Cold night in Cuba: 36 points below 10 °C

Monday morning was remarkably cold throughout Cuba, according to the Forecast Center of the Institute of Meteorology (insmet). In Indio Hatuey, Matanzas, the minimum dropped to 1.5 degrees Celsius (°C).

According to the Insmet from its Twitter account, there were 36 points reported below 10 °C and the lowest value was reported from Indio Hatuey, in Matanzas, with a minimum temperature of 1.5 °C.

The minimum of 9.9 °C registered in Guantanamo constitutes a possible absolute record for this location.

In its forecast today, the Insmet assures that the day will be winter with temperatures that will reach maximums between 22 and 25 °C in the west and center.

In the east they would be between 26 and 29 °C.

From the afternoon the temperature will begin to drop, and it will be another cold night, with temperatures between 15 and 18 °C in the west and inland and southern locations in the rest. They would be between 18 and 21 °C in the southeastern provinces.
