The Public Ministry issued a summons for the Minister of Mining, Ramiro Villavicencio Niño de Guzmán, to testify about the damage and deterioration suffered by the Cerro Rico de Potosí.

The complaint against the authority of the Mining and Metallurgy portfolio was filed by Deputy Lissa Claros (Citizen Community), and she adheres to the defense actions of the Potosinist Civic Committee.

The legislator indicated that other representatives of the Bolivian Mining Corporation (Comibol) were also summoned to testify.

“Within the criminal process against the Minister of Mining, as well as others involved, for the crimes of breach of duties, destruction or deterioration of State assets and national wealth, uneconomic conduct (…). The notification is being made as a denounced to the Minister of Mining and others involved in Comibol, so that he can give his statement in this regard,” Claros told El Potosí.

According to the deputy, Villavicencio has been summoned this Monday; You will still be informed of the date, place and time for your statement. Meanwhile, a popular action by Comcipo against Comibol for the damage to Cerro Rico is scheduled for Tuesday.
