Prosecutors Eugenio Ocampos and Giovanni Grisetti charged seven people, members of the polling stations and an Electoral Justice official for falsifying the elections after verifying the irregular possession of bulletins by an alleged voter.
The accused were 1) Filemon Rojas Doldan, (electoral delegate) 2) Jaime Alfredo Salinas Alfonzo, 3) Lourdes R. Martinez, 4) María Griselda Bobadilla F. 5) Maria Estela Cristaldo D., 6) Paola V. Kiese P. Y 7) Laura M. Fernandez P.
On Sunday, December 18, 2022, the Public Ministry received a complaint stating that at the Natividad de Maria Basic School in the Santa Maria neighborhood of Asunción, electoral fraud was being carried out at one of the tables.
The prosecutor and police committee headed by prosecutor Eugenio Ocampos was established at the site, where one of the representatives of Patria Querida indicated that at Table 5 they had surprised Filemon Rojas with 15 ballots in his possession, already with the electoral votes printed and with Board member signatures. Which was established in a written record.
The polling place had a closed circuit that was seized and the extensive images show the actions carried out by those accused today.
It is even visualized how the electronic ballot box is manipulated. In other images, Jaime A. Salinas, who was President of Table Number 5, can be seen handing out ballots, which are presumed to be the voting papers for Filemon Rojas.
