Augura un futuro prometedor a los productores de carne, leche, frutas y vegetales

SANTIAGO RODRIGUEZ. -At the opening of the Sixth Regional Dairy Exhibition “Expo Montaña Sabaneta”, organized here by the New Generation Livestock Group, the administrator of the Agricultural Bank (Bagricola), Fernando Durán, congratulated and recognized the farmers of the Northwest Line for the impressive progress and quality shown by local livestock.

He stated that the government headed by President Luis Abinader is committed to working alongside this sector, so that the consolidation of dairy production through genetic improvement, pasture production, equipping farms, access to water sources, technical assistance and financing are always available to the producer.

In this sense, Fernando Durán stated that the resources of this credit institution are available to all producers and that anyone who has an idea, a project, or an undertaking that contributes to production and improves productivity in the field has the support of Bagrícola.

He assured that the Government will go to support these producers with financing and technical advice to guarantee the success of these projects.

He reported that, at the stand he set up at that event and that, while the fair lasts, Bagrícola will be granting zero-rate loans to milk and meat producers from any region of the country for the purchase of breeding animals, equipment for milking and farm improvement.

“Right now, from the government we are preparing a large program to support the promotion of livestock whose execution we will announce in the coming days, since the production of beef and dairy products are among the most important agricultural goods. in human food and the Dominican Republic has excellent conditions to produce them in a profitable and sustainable way”, he said.

“In other words, the future is promising for entrepreneurs who are dedicated to producing these items,” he said.

He highlighted that, since assuming power in August 2020, President Luis Abinader has injected extraordinary resources into BAGRICOLA amounting to RD$10.55 billion, from the National Budget.

“There are five extraordinary items that we have received from President Abinader to support agricultural producers, guarantee their economic growth and guarantee the food security of Dominicans,” Durán said.

El Bagrícola participates in the fair with a large stand that has information about the services offered by this institution and will give the public promotional items, such as pens and caps.
