The Dominican government once again increased the avtur price. On this occasion, this fuel -used in aviation- will be dispatched to the public starting tomorrow at 253.87 pesos per gallon, for an increase of 7.93 pesos.
About the prices of others fuelsthe vice minister of Internal Trade of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Mipymes (MICM), Ramón Pérez Fermín, informed this Friday that for the coming week the government will assume the sum close to 380 million pesos to avoid their increases.
Without the subsidy, the diesel price Regular gasoline would have -as of Saturday, January 14- an increase of 46.48 pesos, the optimal diesel of 48.62 pesos, premium gasoline of 4.60 pesos and regular gasoline of 2.74 pesos.
With this measure, the prices of all fuels for domestic use.
“It is opportune to clarify to the public, that among many other factors, the prices of sale to the public of the refined productsdepend to a large extent on the behavior of supply, demand and the specific conditions of their markets, as well as the availability of inventories”, explained the vice minister.
“(As) we already know, the reduction of WTI has been much more pronounced than that of the distillates and consequently, the reduction in prices for our country has not been able to materialize proportionally,” he added.
He said that in recent months, the war in Ukraine has significantly widened the historical gap between the price of crude oil and the price of refined products such as diesel.

For the week of January 14-20, 2023, fuel prices will be kept at:
- Premium gasoline: 293.60 pesos per gallon.
- Regular gasoline: 274.50 pesos per gallon.
- Regular diesel: 221.60 per gallon.
- Optimum diesel: 241.10 pesos per gallon.
- Avtur: 253.87 pesos per gallon.
- Kerosene: 338.10 pesos per gallon.
- Fuel oil #6: 192.11 pesos per gallon.
- Fuel oil 1%: 211.77 pesos per gallon.
- LPG: 147.60 pesos per gallon.
- Natural gas: 28.97 pesos per m3.
