On the night of Friday, January 13, in his message to the nation, Dina Boluartein front of millions of Peruvians, questioned the governor of Fist, Richard Hancco, asserting that as the authority intends to solve the problems of poverty in the altiplano region when it does not talk with the Executive. Faced with this situation, Hancco reminded the president of everything that she mentioned in the past and did not comply, for which she affirmed that she is a traitor.
“You have to be clear, my parents have taught me not to be traitors. The people have trusted me to carry out development”, began and, immediately, the journalist from The Republic Liubomir Fernández asked him if he considers Dina Boluarte to be a traitor: “Of course,” he replied.
“She said yes to the constituent assembly, with which I do not agree. She spoke wonders about Evo Morales and now she is his enemy. She said here that she was not going to stay if Pedro Castillo was vacated and what did she do? That is a bad sign, a bad example for the citizens and for the children. How can we talk about values when the president lies”, he expressed indignantly.
At another time, Richard Hancco showed his annoyance at the allusion to the head of state. “I do not have any personal problem with Mrs. Dina Boluarte, but it seems that she wants that. I have not participated in this fight, this began once Pedro Castillo was vacated. If you want to make this personal, then we’ll make it personal, but I don’t recommend having me as an enemy, as blunt as that.”, he stated annoyed.
Likewise, he reminded Boluarte that the position of the region Fist is that she resigns and regretted that the president has entered a field of victimization. “If you want to develop the region, then come, talk to the mayors, talk to the people, you don’t need to talk to me and don’t try to hide behind yourself,” she continued.
Asked if there are conditions to set up a table for peace, he said yes, “but the way he expresses himself does not help.” He mentioned that, for his part, he is open to conversation, but not in a context of insults. “I do not know if Mrs. Dina Boluarte takes into account the consequences of her statement. I don’t know who made you believe that we have declared you persona non grata, ”he said to later clarify that it was the Regional Council that took this measure, but not the Puno Regional Government that he presides over. “I don’t know if I was expecting a congratulatory resolution,” he added.
Regarding Dina Boluarte’s assertions that the weapons that would have been used to cause the death of several Peruvians entered from bolivianonly managed to say: “We continue with that… the charges are not eternal, we will continue as citizens when we finish our charges and there we will see the consequences of our actions, either the population hates us or respects us, or Well, we’re going to hide for life.”
