“Right now we are approximately 65% complete. As we can see, we are building the asphalt pavement of almost 8 km that the avenue has that is already passable in its entirety, passing through the upper slab that makes up the decks of the three built bridges”, he explained.
Likewise, he said that when the work is completely completed, it will reach the downtown Asunción in rush hour will take only 20 minuteswhich today is done in 40 minutes going through other streets like Gral. Santos and Félix Bogado.
“It is not only a road solution to improve southern access to the capital, it also means a better quality of life for people who will be able to go for a family walk, ride a bike, jog. Everything that is done today in the Costanera Norte, God willing, within a year it can be done completely here ”, he concluded.
The Costanera Sur will transform the capital of the country for its high social, environmental and urban impact, directly benefiting 2,516 families from Bañado Tacumbú and putting an end to flooding in the area.

The new avenue is 7.6 km long. It will have two lanes and will have sidewalks and a bike lane along Bañado Sur, from Avda. Colón to Cerro Lambaré.
