The measure has more than 20 signatures at the proposal of the bench of Free Peru and has the support of members of other left-wing groups such as Peru Bicentenario, Cambio Democrático and the Magisterial Bloc.

If approved, Rojas must answer an interpellatory list of 14 questions, including what is the budget allocated to his sector to combat citizen insecurity, details about the Police protocols in marches and demonstrations, as well as his knowledge of the acts of violence raised in regions.
In this regard, the spokesman for the pencil party, Waldemar Cerronmaintained that the head of the Ministry of the Interior and Defense must “explain their actions” in the Ministerial Cabinet. “The pain for the loss of our brothers is great. The Minister of the Interior and Defense must explain his actions to the Peruvian people”, he indicated in statements to the press.
