The union leader, Mario Díaz, asked the General Directorate of Internal Taxes (DGII) for an extension of an additional month so that motor vehicle drivers who have not yet been able to pay for the renewal of the tags plates or vehicular circulation, can be done without trauma.
Díaz requested that the measure be established by means of a resolution of the collecting institution so that the carriers can comply with the tax established by law.
“The term established by that institution and which expires on January 31, will not be enough for passenger and cargo carriers that have not yet been able to renew their tags throughout the national territory to do so,” Díaz said. .
It recommended that, although people who have not renewed their license plate tags, have to pay the additional surcharge established by the DGIIthe extension should only be established to allow the circulation of vehicles that have not renewed the tags during that additional period of time.
