The dollar in Colombia, in a tailspin: it is traded for less than 4,700 pesos

The second week of 2023 has not been good for the dollar in Colombia, but yes for the weight, that has strengthened against the foreign currency, which, this Thursday, January 12, already it was negotiated for less than 4,700 pesos.

The dollar opened the day on Thursday in 4,708 pesos and closed at 4,679.35 pesos.

The lowest price it recorded was 4,656 pesos and the highest, 4,717.90 pesos. And other values ​​that were negotiated were 4,677.03, 4,680.66, 4,682, 4,695 and 4,700 pesos.

At the end of the day, the average trading price of the dollar was 4,691.35 pesos, 57.19 pesos less than the Representative Rate (TRM) of the day, which is 4,748.54 pesos.

In relation to Tuesday, January 10, at the beginning of the week and when the TRM was 4,885.66, the dollar fell 194.31 pesos.

In the first week of 2023, the US currency had strong volatility in its price: close to $200.

While the Government Financial Plan for 2023 indicates that the dollar would remain in a range between 4,700 and 4,800 pesos during the year. Some banking entities agree with this forecast and others place it below 4,700 and above 5,000 pesos.
