The pickets of protesters began their actions very early, burning tires on the main avenues of the districts of Gregorio Albarracín, Alto de Alianza and Ciudad Nueva, blocking the roads with regular-sized stones.
Threats to drivers
The few taxis, vans, and private vehicles that were circulating until 7:00 a.m. were ordered to withdraw under harsh threats of suffering damage to their windshields and tires.
Different groups, some more numerous than others, moved towards the center of the city. Carrying coffins, black and white flags and cutlery, they demanded the resignation of the President of the Republic Dina Boluarte and the call for new elections in the country.
They attacked a “chichera”
In their wake, the protesters who marched from the northern cone forced the few businesses they attended to close their doors, otherwise their products would be looted.

In the “La Salida a Tarata” sector, a demeaning event occurred when a group of men came running and surrounded a humble chicha vendor. They claimed her for leaving her to work and forced her to distribute her soda, to which the very frightened street vendor had to agree.
Collection of quotas to drivers
At 7:00 p.m., residents of Gregorio Albarracín denounced the collection of quotas for drivers who circulated on Avenida Ecológica y la Cultura. If they did not agree, they would puncture the tire and cause damage to their units.
