MIAMI, United States. — The United States government warned Cubans that showing up at the border of that country will make them ineligible for the humanitarian parole launched last Thursday by President Joe Biden.
Through its embassy in Havana, Washington recalled that Cuban nationals who wish to have the possibility of legally entering the United States can do so under the new policy.
“Don’t come to the border. Stay where you are, protect your passport, and complete the online application process. Applying for this program is free. If they try to enter the US without permission, they will be ineligible for this process in the future,” the embassy said in a statement.

During the last few days, hundreds of Cubans have continued to arrive at the southern border of the United States, where they are being deported expeditiously under Title 42, which, for now, will remain in force until February.
The Cubans who were going to the border when the humanitarian parole policy was announced can still apply to it and thus avoid being classified as inadmissible to the migratory benefit.
Since January 5, the date on which Biden announced the restrictions on the entry of migrants across the border and the launch of the humanitarian parole policy for them, hundreds of Cubans in the United States have submitted their request for sponsorship for relatives and relatives in Cuba.
The applications of the so-called sponsors are processed through the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) site, which, once the petition is approved, will send the instructions to the beneficiary. If accepted, you must present yourself at a US port of entry, where your humanitarian parole request will be granted or denied.
