At the beginning of the interrogation, there was a small altercation between the accused and the president of the Audit Commission, Héctor Ventura. The way Yenifer Paredes responded caused Ventura to ask for “respect.”
“I have a lot of respect for you and that’s why I’m here, despite the fact that they canceled me the first time they called me, which was on the 5th, if I didn’t respect you, I wouldn’t be here. I ask you, please, if you It is an inspection commission, I want this situation to be clarified,” said the researcher.
Castillo’s sister-in-law also assured that despite the fact that in the official records of visits to the former first lady, Lilia Paredes, there is a meeting with the businessman Hugo Espino with the ex-president’s wife, this was directly with Yenifer. “Mr. Espino has never met with my mother, he has always held meetings with me, my mother had her own office,” she told the commission.
Paredes Navarro indicated that he was attending to his private affairs with the businessman Espino at the Government Palace residence. Another thing that she recounted was what she was doing the day the Prosecutor’s Office entered the Palace to arrest her and she was like she hadn’t. Paredes assured that she was shopping for her graduation.
