More than 1,500 students from the Arraiján district will be able to be part of the Nuevo Emperador Integral Training Center, which will begin in the 2023 school year.
According to the Regional Director of Education of Panama Oeste, Enrique Bernal, these modern facilities were built with an investment of 19.1 million balboas and represents one of the largest projects that have been carried out in the province of Panama Oeste.
The new facilities have 12 theoretical classrooms for preschool, with their respective restrooms, the same amount for premedia, and includes rooms for plastic arts, music education, science, computer, and language labs.
He indicated that the facilities also have 18 theoretical classrooms for academic secondary education, laboratories for chemistry, physics, biology, computer science, languages and commerce. For primary education, 24 theoretical classrooms, science, computer and language laboratories were built.
A building for the administration section, main hall, gym, three basketball courts, soccer field, cafeteria, flag salute plaza and two 30,000-gallon water tanks were also built. Currently, the construction of the athletics track is underway.
According to Bernal, this week the regional commission will be installed, which will be responsible for enrolling students who will study from the initial level to the academic average and it is planned to serve 1,500 students.
