The Secretary General for National Renovation, Deputy Diego Schalper, responded to the summons of former presidential candidate José Antonio Kast, after the failed censure of Deputy Karol Cariola (PC) of the presidency of the Constitution Committee of the Lower House.
JAK published on his Twitter account that “the left, supported by deputies from Chile Vamos, rejected the motion of no confidence against the Communist Party deputy, Karol Cariola, in charge of the Constitution commission. The left continues to dominate the commissions in the absence of real opposition”. All this accompanied by a photograph in which Schalper appears.

Given this, the RN Secretary General responded to the summons. “Mr. Kast: the policy to avoid ending up like Brazil has to be serious and not with unfounded assemblies, like this censorship. Contribute to stability, dialogue and respect, key things for the future of Chile. Being in opposition is not synonymous with degradation of people”.
It should be remembered that at the end of the session and after knowing the unsuccessful result of the motion of no confidence, the deputy Gonzalo de la Carrera (Ind) entered the room and rebuked his peer, Diego Schalper, for having voted against the action, accusing him of joining his “far-left associates”. Given this, the RN general secretary told him that he would beat him in his district (11), which exalted De La Carrera.
