This Tuesday at 10:30 in the morning, a commission from the National Assembly (AN) will go to the headquarters of the Comptroller General of the Republic (CGR) to notify the Citizen Power of the beginning of the annual period of ordinary sessions of the Legislative corresponding to 2023.
This commission will be chaired by deputy Alexis Rodríguez Cabello (PSUV/Bolívar) and made up of parliamentarians Winston Vallenilla (PSUV/Miranda), Williams Benavides (PSUV/Nacional), Imarú Bolívar (PSUV/Yaracuy), Mercedes Sánchez (PSUV/Anzoátegui ), William Camacho (PSUV/Táchira), Anuar Younese Maali (PSUV/Zulia) and Yonder Silva (PSUV/Carabobo), reviews a press release from the National Assembly.
The opposition deputies José Brito (PV/Anzoátegui), Anyelith Tamayo (AD/Nacional), Rubén Limas (AD/Dtto. Capital) and Alfonso Campos Jessurún will also make up this commission.
The executive was notified
A parliamentary commission headed by the Board of the National Assembly (AN), deputies Jorge RodriguezPedro Infante and América Pérez, notified this Monday to the Executive Power the beginning of the annual period of ordinary sessions of the Legislative for 2023-2024.
In a meeting held at the Miraflores Palace, the president of the AN explained to the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, that the Parliament’s agenda will focus on the laws of People’s Power and on accompanying the Revolutionary Government in the economic recovery of the country.
Rodríguez stressed that the beginning of a new legislative period in Venezuela “is the expression of the normal functioning of the public powers” and is the demonstration that what has happened in the last three years, in which the parties that make life in the AN, are a sample for the country that politics can be carried out with respect between adversaries.
He also delivered to President of the Republic, Nicolás Madurofrom a communication with which the AN informs of the opening of the ordinary sessions that began on January 5.
