The beginning of a new year brings with it a considerable increase in the rates of the transit taxes in the province of Buenos Aires, which will have an increase of 12.3%.
The Buenos Aires government adjusted the rates of infractionsfrom the modification in the value of the Fixed Units (UF), with which the cost of the transit taxes.
The update in the rates for the transit taxes It will apply from this Monday. This way, the most common penalties (driving with excessive speed or without a license), will cost up to $204,000.
The measure was detailed through a resolution, which establishes that: “driving a vehicle with excessive speed, crossing a red light, driving on the shoulder, drunk or without a driver’s license will be punished with penalties ranging from $30,630 up to $204,000”.
It should be remembered that in January 2022, the value of the UF was $181,800, so the sanctions increased by 124.3% in one year. Said value is determined by the price of a liter of gasoline with the highest octane rating reported by the Automóvil Club Argentino.
The Buenos Aires government also reported that the infractions can be consulted through the website www.infracciones.gba.gob.ar/consulta-infraccion. There you must enter the data of the vehicle and the owner.
In said portal you can consult both the sanctions associated with the patent of a particular vehicle, as well as a DNI; in search by domain or by document, respectively.
How were the new rates?
Economic sanctions are established according to the offense what the driver does. In this way the rates are as follows:
- Talking on the phone while driving: $20,420
- Circulate without the VTV: between $61,200 and $204,200
- Speeding, driving without a qualifying license, crossing a traffic light with a red light, driving on the shoulder or driving drunk: between $30,630 and $204,200
- Refusing to take a breathalyzer test: $245,040.
