A man was murdered in the Puntas de Manga neighborhood

In the early hours of this Sunday, a 30-year-old man was murdered in a new violent act that occurred in the country’s capital, this time in the Puntas de Manga neighborhood.

Minutes after midnight, agents from the Montevideo Police Headquarters received an alert about the presence of detonations and an injured man on the streets Jose Zuccotti and Felipe Vazin Manga Tips.

By the time the police officers were present at the site, the injured man was already lifeless. After reviewing the area where the incident occurred, the Police found two firearms: a pistol and a revolver.

Almost simultaneously with the discovery of the body, the staff of the Capitán Tula polyclinic reported the admission of a 22-year-old young man who had been wounded by a firearm. After being interviewed, the man said that he was shot when he was walking through the place where they found the dead man.

The young man had a gunshot wound to the leg, but he is out of danger. Police estimate that the victim of this wound is related to the murder of the 30-year-old man.
