Almost a year after the violent protests of March 2022, the Parliamentary Investigative Commission of the deaths that occurred during the demonstrations will present its final report, which includes conclusions and recommendations on the political, criminal and administrative responsibilities corresponding to these events.
The presentation of the conclusions will be given in a session scheduled for 3:00 pm this Monday, and will be blended, in room 4 of the Víctor Raúl Haya de la Torre building; one of the headquarters of Legislative power.
As was publicized, as a result of the protests that began on March 28, 2022, within the framework of an indefinite stoppage called by cargo carrier organizations, eight people lost their lives. The demonstrators demanded palliatives for the increase in the fuel used by their vehicles, as well as the application of a series of measures in their favor, referring, among other points, to concessions of routes and the restructuring of the Urban Transport Authority.

The protests took place after the initial strike, carried out in November 2021. Although an agreement was reached with the authorities at that time, four months later, considering that their claims were not satisfied, they blocked several of the main land routes of the country. To this were added clashes and vandalism, which lasted until mid-April last year.
The incidents took place in Ancash, ayacucho, Junín and Piura, mainly. After the culmination of these, an investigative commission was formed in Congress.
