A six-year-old infant is hospitalized in a serious state of health after being involved in an accident with a tractor that occurred in the department of Cerro Largo.
According to what was reported by the journalist Silvia Techera, from the local media Melo’s Voicethe incident occurred in a rural establishment in Punta de Palleros, a town located about 70 kilometers from the city of Melo, the departmental capital.
The boy was traveling in the vehicle with his father when the accident occurred: the minor fell from the tractor and it caused him “serious injuries” that required medical assistance.
Individuals with a police escort transferred the wounded man to the emergency room of a local mutual society, where he is waiting for surgery.
The 2nd Shift Prosecutor’s Office directs the proceedings of the case together with the staff of Section 11 of Cerro Largo.
