The Superintendency of Banking, Insurance and AFP (SBS) warned that there are applications (App) that offer informal loans and that can harm users.
“When the user downloads these applications (App) on their cell phone, they are required to provide personal information and access to the directory of their contacts, as well as collect and monitor information from their cell phone,” said the SBS.
Likewise, it specified that when requesting payment of the credit, high charges and interest are included “and they threaten users with informing all their contacts of their supposed debtor status, as well as the attribution of aggravating facts or situations, which violate their honor and it instills fear in them.”
In the same way, it specified that any consultation or complaint related to people or companies that provide financial services, without authorization from the SBS or without being registered, it can be presented to this entity, to the telephone numbers 0-800-10840 or 01-200-1930, or to the email [email protected].
