The Ministry of Health detailed 4,162 new cases, of which 2,565 correspond to symptomatic people and 347 did not present symptoms. In addition, 1,250 positive PCR tests were registered that were not notified.
In this way, the total number of people diagnosed with Covid-19 reached 5,062,734. and recovered patients reached 4,970,236. since the arrival of the coronavirus in Chile.
The death of 30 people in the last 24 hours was detailed, thus reaching 63,330 since the start of the pandemic. On the other hand, positivity reached 18.2% nationwide.
Regarding active cases, these reached 12,508 people and PCR tests amounted to 19,075 in the last 24 hours, thus reaching a total amount of 47,804,159.
Meanwhile, there are 113 people hospitalized for Covid-19 in Intensive Care Units. Of these, 83 are supported by mechanical ventilation. Along the same lines, the hospital capacity has 1,813 critical beds enabled and 333 critical beds available.
Positivity in the Metropolitan Region reached 19.39%, while the regions with the greatest increase in new confirmed cases in the last seven days are O’Higgins, Arica and Parinacota, Antofagasta and Tarapacá.
