Venezuela willing to strengthen relations with Türkiye

The Venezuelan Foreign Minister, Yván Gil, held a telephone conversation this Friday with his counterpart from Türkiye, Mevlut Cavusoglu, where they reiterated their commitment and willingness to strengthen relations between the two nations.

This, after receiving congratulations from Cavusoglu on his appointment this Friday as the new Minister for Foreign Affairs.

“Grateful for the call from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the sister Republic of Türkiye Mevlut Cavusoglu. He received with great satisfaction the words of congratulations from him. We will continue working together to continue strengthening our bilateral relations,” Gil posted on his Twitter social network account.

Gil, it was appointed as the new Chancellor, by President Maduro this Fridayto replace Carlos Faría, who held the position since May 2022.

Venezuela and Türkiye maintain cooperation agreements in different strategic areas such as trade, industry, medicine, among others.
