Nytha Pérez Rojas, mother of former President Alan García, died this Saturday, January 29

The mother of the deceased former president Nytha Pérez Rojas, passed away on the morning of this Saturday, January 29, according to Carla García on social networks.

“My grandmother Nytha Pérez de García has just left the earthly plane. Teacher, poetess, politician and great speaker, an example of strength, lucidity and integrity. She meets with my grandfather Carlos and his children, Carlos and Alan”wrote the daughter of the former APRA president on Twitter.

Nytha Pérez was a member of the Peruvian Aprista Party and founder of this political group in the province of Camaná, in Arequipa.

She married her supporter colleague Carlos García Ronceros and was the mother of Carlos Gabriel Sigfrido García Pérez and Alan Gabriel Ludwig García Pérez, the latter President of the Republic elected twice.

Alan García committed suicide with a shot to the head on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, when a preliminary arrest procedure was being carried out against him as part of the investigations for alleged illicit payments he received from the Odebrecht company.
