In the province of Chiriquí, everything is ready to receive more than 150,000 visitors at the Boquete Flower and Coffee Fair. This fair event will take place from January 12 to 22 and with it begins the calendar of fairs nationwide.
According to the mayor of Boquete Joshwar Alvarado, 48 permits were granted for merchants who will sell outside the fair and those who wish to acquire new sales positions have until tomorrow, January 4, to process them.
He said the Boquete merchant permit costs about $100, down about $150 from previous years. However, foreign sellers have a slightly higher rate, she said.
For his part, the president of the Board of La Feria, Tomás Ruiz, said that all the logistics are being analyzed in conjunction with the Ministry of Health, to verify the conditions of the food for sale and with the Transit and Land Transportation Authority to prevent vehicular congestion or accidents are generated in the area near the fair.
