The dollar began 2023 with two consecutive falls. The currency fell 0.69% on Monday and ended the day at $39,795. This Tuesday it repeated the downward operation to culminate in $39,732 and a decrease of 0.16%, according to information from the Electronic Stock Market (Bevsa).

This Tuesday, the operation was for US$41 million, with a minimum price of $39.55 and a maximum of $39.85.

On the Banco República (BROU) blackboard, the dollar traded at $38.65 for purchase and $41.05 for sale.
In the region, the currency operated in the official Argentine exchange at A$176.99 for purchase and A$185.99 for sale. In the parallel market, the official dollar was quoted at A$350 for buying and A$354 for selling.
In Brazil, the currency was trading at 5.462 reais with a daily increase of 1.92%.
The dollar index, which measures the value of the US with a basket of international currencies, rose 1.09% to 104.65 units.
